Last Monday, being Memorial Day, my wife and I went to a parade with her parents to commemorate the day. During the parade we saw a float for West Coast Boot Camp, and my wife suggests that I go work there.
Here on the left coast (I don’t know if they exist outside of California), the latest fitness fad (which will hopefully last for awhile) is boot camps set up to get people in shape. They are modeled after military style boot camps, but minus the screaming Drill Sergeants.
So, anyway, we walked up the street to hear a concert which was being held there and just walked right past West Coast Boot Camp’s main gym and decided to check it out. As soon as we walked through the door we were greeted by one of the staff there and my wife piped up right away with “You should hire my husband!”. Well, it turns out that this guy is the CEO and founder of West Coast Boot camp, who is also hoping to expand his business over the next year. Long story short, I had a job interview two days later, where I was hired ten minutes into the interview. That’s record time for finding a job, and clearly God’s providence was at work for more reasons than I could list here.
So my new job title is “Instructor” at West Coast Boot Camp, I will also be getting my personal trainer certification in the next couple of months . . . fantastic! My wife and I are thanking God for this job.
